Who is Stacy?

Hi! I’m a long time resident of Manassas Park City. I made Manassas Park my permanent home in 1999. My Dad was in the Army so our family was pretty transient until he retired in Virginia. I went to Lake Braddock High School and then attended Virginia Tech. I graduated with my Bachelors in Management Science with a concentration in Decision Support Systems.

From there I worked as an IT consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers and then IBM. Consulting, along with all the travel, took much of my time and focus. I worked as a IT Consultant and Project Manager with DC Public Schools, the State of North Carolina, the State of California and Puerto Rico, implementing student information systems. I also worked with the United States Postal Service as a project manager for the mail information tracking systems focusing on streamlining processes and change management. Once I started having my family, I decided I needed to be more present for my family and wanted to apply my skills to my community. I, then took a position, with Prince William County Government. I manage a team that administers and implements internal business technologies. These applications focus on how we can make staff more efficient, provide solutions that are citizen self serve, physical security, paper and electronic records management and much more.

Throughout my career, I’ve taken an active role in volunteering. As a young adult, I taught religious education with the Military Archdiocese and Arlington Archdiocese. I also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. My volunteering efforts switched to the schools, when my children were born. I volunteered with All Saints Catholic School and then BSA Scouting at the Pack and Troop levels. I took leadership roles within our Pack and Troop, serving as the Popcorn Kernel, Website Master and Service Committee Chair.
